The OneBridge Center Story
About Us
Onebridge Center is a training provider with a heavy focus on both skills training and vocational rehabilitation to assist individuals to break barriers to employment.
Our History
The story of Onebridge Center began in 2014 when Onebridge Support Services was created as a home and community based program to provide services to Anita Murphy’s son. Onebridge served clients in both Cuyahoga, Summit Medina counties and neighboring counties. However, the story doesn’t start there.
Anita ran an Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities company that started in 2006 in Euclid, Ohio. Where Anita and her team provided community-based services in Cuyahoga, Lake and Medina Counties. She sold that company and afterwards she started working as an Independent Trainer providing training to business owners on business operations, start-up and strategic planning to business owners. During that time she tried other I/DD providers for services, but did not find the quality of support she was looking for her son, so she founded Onebridge Support Services. Seeing a greater need for accessible computer technology and applications training for individuals who have a barrier to work she decided to stop providing home based services to fill this need.
Shortly thereafter she opened up the Onebridge Center to provide Basic Computer, PC Specialist, Microsoft Office Specialist training, Customer Service & Sales Representative, Clerical, Quickbooks and job skills and soft skills training via vocational rehabilitation training. The doors opened 2 weeks before the shut down then reopened back in September of 2020.
Our center currently provides vocational rehabilitation training to those with a barrier to employment via in-person and virtual instructor-led sessions in Summit, Medina and surrounding counties. We currently serve young adults with disabilities aging out of the local school districts in Medina County, individuals receiving assistance from the Department of Developmental Disabilities and County Boards. We also work with participants from Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) and Ohio Means Jobs and have also worked with injured Bureau of Worker’s Compensation clients.
OneBridge Center is a trade name under Onebridge Support Services.
At Onebridge Support Services we believe in helping individuals become technology-ready, life-ready and work-ready.
